Meet Shelley
Practice Manager
Shelley has been working in veterinary medicine for over 22 years and brings a wealth of
experience, compassion, and dedication to her role as Practice Manager at Pearl Street Pet
Hospital and Urgent Care.
Her journey into veterinary medicine began while she was home from college during summer
breaks, volunteering at an animal hospital. Although Shelley attended nursing school, she
quickly discovered that her true passion and heart belonged in animal medicine—and she has
been dedicated to caring for animals ever since!
Throughout her career, Shelley has had the opportunity to assist in treating a wide variety of
animals, from dogs and cats to pocket pets like guinea pigs and even exotic species such as
servals, binturongs, and opossums. Her love for animals, especially those in need, has always
been at the heart of what she does.
Shelley believes that every pet deserves to be treated like family. She strives to ensure that every
client feels supported and every furry family member receives the same compassion, attention,
and care she would give her own pets.
Outside of work, Shelley enjoys spending time with family and friends. Her passion for animal
rescue extends into her home, where her family includes her husband, three dogs, three cats, two
chinchillas, a bird, a turtle, and a tortoise! Needless to say, her home is full of personality, love,
and plenty of paws, feathers, and shells.
Shelley is proud to be part of the Pearl Street Pet Hospital and Urgent Care team and is
committed to creating a caring, supportive environment for both the hospital’s patients and the
people who love them.
